This stunning 9ct gold cameo ring is hand carved from agate depicting a lovely lady. Our jeweller estimates this to be from the 1900s and is in absolutely amazing condition. Truly a treasure! Cameo rings date back to Ancient Greece and Rome where they were carved from stone and used as jewellery or seals. They saw a revival during the Renaissance and again in Victorian England where shell cameos became popular.
